I just found out about and am interested in Torchlight, and your assessment that 1e is superior to the morass of rulebooks of 2e seems to be nearly the consensus. Do you have a writeup of your house rules available for those of us who are just getting started?
Hi, thanks for the comment. I’m a bit wary of sharing my house rules because they so intrinsically reflect the quirks of my own table, and those quirks will probably seem strange to other TB groups. However, my rewritten class rules are worth sharing, and I guess I might as well include one if I post the other. You can read them here:

I'm excited to dive into Torchbearer, and I will give it a fair shake RAW before I incorporate any house rules, yours or my own, but it's always good to see which areas a veteran of the game sees room for improvement.
